Did you hear? God has spoken.

1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. 2 Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. 6 Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat. -Psalm 19:1-6

Living in the Northwest, it is hard to get past verses 5 & 6. It would seem that the bridegroom doesn’t come out of his chamber often enough! Nevertheless, every day the sun does rise, it is simply obscured by the clouds. Like our faith itself, we do not always see reality clearly, sometimes it is obscured, either by worldly jangle, or our own unbelief.
The rhythm and order of God’s work is a great testimony to his existence as well as faithfulness. God is in charge of the universe, he designed, created, and sustains it’s existence. What a foolish thought it is, to think that man could alter it. That thought is the basis of unbelief, and a rejection of God’s sovereignty. God has spoken in creation, men are without excuse.
