Thanksgiving Is Not American.

It is good to give thanks to the LORD And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night -Psalm 92:1,2

At Thanksgiving time we often quote America’s founding fathers and remember the accounts of the first American Thanksgiving. The truth is, Thanksgiving, like Christmas, and Easter, are wholly Christian holidays. Though there are lots of trappings that obscure the meanings of the holidays, Thanksgiving is clear in its very name.
We give thanks, and to whom we give thanks is clear, -God.
It goes back way before the founding of our nation, and it is not confined to a national identity.

People all over the world, and for all time, give thanks to God, because it’s good to do, and
because He is good.
